Joseph Burt has more than 25 years of experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations in healthcare and higher education. For the past eleven years he has served as Vice President/Executive Director of Development for the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation holding leadership positions at Palisades Medical Center, JFK University Medical Center, and the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
Joe came to Hackensack Meridian following a successful fundraising career in higher education, holding the positions of Vice President for Advancement at St. Peters University, Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations at Seton Hall University and Director of Development at Xavier High School.
His community activities include serving on the boards of St. Francis Academy in Union City, N.J. and the John P. Hourihan Foundation for the Homeless and Hearing Impaired, as well as a volunteer coach in youth basketball and baseball in Hudson County, N.J.
Joe, his wife Margaret and their 3 children live in Jersey City.
