U.S. Risk, LLC donates clothing, school supplies and more to the hospital’s pediatric clinic

Over 30 bags filled with children’s clothing, toys, and school supplies were generously donated to Richmond University Medical Center’s Family Health Center pediatric clinic by the Staten Island office of U.S. Risk, LLC for distribution to its pediatric patients. U.S. Risk, LLC is a national insurance brokerage firm.

“The clinic’s patient population is primarily low economic. They are extremely grateful to receive this donation of toys, backpacks, and school supplies. It really helps the families that we serve and makes the children feel special. The donations provide a pleasant environment when coming to their doctor’s appointment,” Janet Scenna, RN, Service Leader, Ambulatory Care Services, said.

The Staten Island office of U.S. Risk, LLC tries to give back every summer to various local organizations that serve underserved populations. “We chose RUMC because it is a wonderful hospital and a major part of our community, “Jennifer Glorioso from U.S. Risk, LLC, said. Glorioso organized the donations. “We have created a unique and thoughtful corporate social responsibility program that aligns with our core values and makes a positive difference in the neighborhoods where we live and work.”

RUMC’s Family Health Center Clinic is located at 800 Castleton Avenue and provides the Staten Island community with quality healthcare for adult and pediatric patients including wellness visits, annual physicals, and immunizations. The team-based approach to treatment calls upon the specialties of several physicians, including primary care, family medicine, pediatricians, surgeons, neurologists, oncologists and more.
