Program Highlights

• Must currently be attending accredited program having completed the equivalent of the first med/surg clinical rotation. 

Program Details

• The extern must be willing to adhere to the orientation schedule provided. Nurse externs are expected to rotate between three shifts. Those applicants requiring special scheduling arrangements will be addressed on an individual basis. You must however be available to attend hospital orientation on June 8, 2026. No exceptions.
• All externs will receive a certificate of completion to include in their professional portfolio.

• Is there a minimum GPA for acceptance?
  No, however preference is given to GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Do I need official transcripts?
  Yes

• Is this a paid externship?
  We have arranged for the externs to receive a small stipends for the hours worked. This  will  be  discussed  further at  the  interview.

• What uniforms will I need?
  White tops, teal blue pants scrubs.  Further uniform/dress requirements discussed at time of offer

• What shift will I be working?
  Externs must be willing and able to work all shifts. Schedules will be discussed at interview.

• When will interviews be conducted?
  Interviews will be scheduled beginning April 27, 2026.

• What can I do to prepare for the interview?
  Plan Ahead. Research our facility and the position if possible. Review your work experiences, and be ready to speak to career and school accomplishments with specific information targeted towards our needs.
  
  This is a competitive job interview, dress professionally.
  
  Be on time. It is best to arrive at the interview area 5 minutes before the scheduled interview time. Those requiring remote interviews will be addressed on an individual basis.

  Selections will be made at the end of the entire interview process for all candidates. Notifications will be made by May 22, 2026
