I am delighted to announce, effective today, Monday, June 12th Robert J. MacFadyen, JD has been promoted to Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention, Language Services and Patient Relations.
Robert will report directly to Pietro Carpenito, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.
During his 12-year career in healthcare, Robert has progressed into leadership roles with an expanded scope of work and increased responsibilities. After law school, Robert started his career at Saint Peter’s Healthcare System (SPHS) as the Safety Manager and quickly took over the responsibilities for The Joint Commission’s Continuous Survey Readiness. While at SPHS, Robert was also in the role of Performance Improvement Manager, Regulatory Director, as well as running the Quality and Safety Departments’ operations and planning for a number of years. Robert joined Richmond University Medical Center in 2021. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law and numerous certifications including a graduate certification in The Law of Patient Care from Seton Hall University School of Law.
Robert has been with Richmond University Medical Center for 20 months and has been working with many of you already on your improvement initiatives.
