Residency Programs in Staten Island, NY

Richmond University Medical Center has long been associated with graduate medical education. It is a serious and special commitment, and we value the unique dimension teaching brings to our services as a community hospital – an academic, energetic learning environment that only teaching hospitals possess.

Our residency programs in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Radiology and Podiatryare well established and fully accredited, and the number and variety of programs are at levels seldom found in a community hospital setting. Our goal is to help develop superior clinical physicians who will work in a climate of collaboration and mutual support.

Residents choosing to do their training at Richmond University Medical Center will be given a unique experience. They will become a vital part of a community hospital which offers not only extensive clinical exposure to a broad range of medical problems, but also the opportunity to experience meaningful involvement with patients and their families as we care for them within the context of patient-centered medical homes. They will also enjoy the didactics and rounds with faculty who will help them prepare for certification in their specialty as well as the independent practice of medicine.
