Brian S. Moody, Esq.
Mr. Moody is the Senior Vice President in charge of the hospital’s Legal, Corporate Compliance and Risk Management Departments, and acts as the hospital’s General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Privacy Officer. Mr. Moody has more than 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney, and specializes in corporate law, health care law, regulatory compliance, litigation and privacy. Prior to joining Richmond University Medical Center, Mr. Moody worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, thereafter becoming a partner and trial attorney at various firms where he litigated cases on behalf of health care providers, and advised hospitals and health care facilities on corporate and regulatory matters.
Mr. Moody obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Fayetteville State University, and Juris Doctor Degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Mr. Moody is admitted to the New York State Bar, as well as to the United States District Courts for both the Eastern and Southern Districts. He is Certified in Health Care compliance (CHC), as well as Professional Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM), and lectures on various topics regarding health care law, compliance and risk.
