Volunteer Opportunities
Overview
We want you to be part of our RUMC Family! If you’re looking to make a difference in your community, be part of a team that is protecting the health of your neighbors and be part of an institution that has been part of the fabric of Staten Island for nearly 120 years, we have a place for you!
Getting Started
Becoming a volunteer at Richmond University Medical Center is simple:
- Review the available volunteer opportunities listed and apply for the volunteer opportunity that best interests you by using the form below. You can either fill out the form or attach your resume.
- Once we receive your information, if you are a potential match, you will be contacted to schedule a virtual interview so that our team can learn more about you.
- If you are accepted, you will be contacted by email and provided with next steps to begin the official on-boarding process. (Note: the on-boarding process can take up to three weeks so the sooner you begin the process the better.)
- Once you have completed the on-boarding process, we will work with you to schedule your start date, review materials/responsibilities before you begin, and answer any questions you may have.
Important: A urine drug screening (through our Employee Health Department), a complete physical (through your private healthcare provider) and a criminal background check are required as part of the on-boarding process. Failure or refusal to complete any of these requirements will eliminate your consideration as a volunteer.
